I went to the door on Saturday morning wondering, who could that be? I had been cleaning and putting away Christmas stuff so my appearance was not what I would have liked it to be for receiving guests. The mail lady had left a box:) My brother and SIL from Cedar Pond had sent a Christmas package. When I opened it I found a jar of honey made by the bees they keep. It was the best gift I received this year. I know how precious their honey can be if the bees weren't very productive. When cleaning out my dads house they saved a jar he had kept and filled it with their precious honey. A bit of home... Yep I cried.
The passing of both my parents last year has been a difficult journey. The challenges were unexpected. All the changes more difficult than I could have imaged. Knowing God has helped .He will never leave me or forsake me. God has been teaching me many things through this process but I have been a slow learner.
I hope this next year will bring COMFORT and JOY, that is what I felt that very cold winter day when I opened that package .
Thank you so much Jim and Kathy!!
