Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
To get us ready to grow stronger in faith, first God sets his plow to dig a little deeper in the soil of our hearts. He turns over the hardened soil packed down from ignorance, disobedience, selfishness, unforgiveness, unconfessed sin, and unbelief. He removes the rocks and weeds so He can plant new seeds that will bring forth new life to bless and nourish us.
