Happy Birthday Dad!
You have been gone almost a month now but the pain is still deep of losing you. I know you are happy with the Lord in heaven and you no longer suffer, that brings me a little comfort. I find myself wanting to call you today to find out what you will be doing for your birthday, but I can't. It will be awhile, for me, before I can get use to you being gone.I am so thankful for thhose last months we had together. I got to know you so much better. Those moments we shared and the things you said were so special to me. You did the best you could and I will be forever grateful. I love you and I miss you.

This is such a good picture of him, that look he had when he was enjoying dessert.
God was so good to you and your sisters & brothers, giving you time to spend with him, talk to him, and learn even more about your family as he had the honor and blessing of dying at home cared for by family who truly loved him.Doesn't make us less sad for the knowing we'll see him in eternity though, because he is missed here on earth.
