LOOKING FOR A TRAILER

a place for a T V and movie storage( and radio)

It is important, here on the Prairie, to be friendly with the Natives

This is the smaller trailer but the other one is only a foot or so bigger. Looks nice behind our van !

We went to Alexandria to look at camping trailers. We are getting closer to retirement and would like a small home on wheels if possible. We are looking for a very lightweight and small trailer that our van will pull easy and not take up to much space in the yard or driveway depending on where we decide to store it. There are two choices that will suit our needs and the pictures reflect the one that is probably the best. There is a bit smaller one with a very open feel but no bunkbeds just a sofa. They are very reasonable, I think, under 10,000 dollars. I went to work on a budget to see if we could save enough for it and compared the price to staying in Hotels as we plan on visiting family in Washington a lot. I think the trailer wins.   

VISIT to ALEXANDRA, MN

One of the Scandinavia shops I go to is located in a town 60 miles west from where I live. I needed to buy some mugs for the grandchildren so off we went for a visit.

DORA VISIT

Waiting to see Dora. Miss H loves Dora but became very shy when it was her turn so her brother tried to show her how you do it

BACON LETTUCE and TOMATO

This is one of my favorite lunchtime sandwiches in mid to late Summer. If you are growing your own tomatoes they are beginning to ripen and raspberries are also becoming ripe. I love to play around with different types of bread as well as different colored tomatoes or different lettuces. What I have here is what I consider a Classic BLT. White toast smokey bacon red tomato and iceberg lettuce. I also like what I call the California BLT. Romaine lettuce, an orange or yellow tomato, sliced avocado and smokey bacon . You may also use a good turkey bacon

FIRST BIRTHDAY

I give all my grandchildren a cup that says "my first Norwegian cup" Noah will be turning one this week. I want them to know where they came from so I try to introduce them to their Norwegian Heritage

SUMMER VISITORS

It has been a long drive from Montana today but they are here!

My daughter and her 4 children live in Washington state

These 2 get carsick and were very happy to arrive at Grammy's

Little MG is shy but still happy to see Grandpa

Baby L is 6 months old now and likes his Grandpa

One of the special things we do here at Grammy's is have little surprises on their beds and every morning

we managed to get 3 kids in here. It is a small room and will be my office someday

The yearly visit from my daughter and her family is a couple of weeks early this year. My son in law was speaking at a camp in Montana before coming here so it worked out better to visit now. The first thing the children look for are what surprises Grammy has left on their beds. I also had some in the Guest Room but of course forgot to get a picture in all the excitement. It had been a very long day for all of them so we took it easy and visited til it was bedtime. There were lots of things to do in the coming week. This is the first 4th of July we spent together most of those pics are on my phone so I will try to figure how to post them and hopefully the next post is our little parade and bar-b-q
