SPECIAL DAY with GRANDMA

Miss Ellie had her first special day with Grammy .

We started the morning with stamping

We went to Target to make a Birthday Wish List and then to Starbucks for a treat and coffee for Grammy

Miss E. chose a Krispy treat

Grammy chose a Lemon Bar

She loves to shop so I know as she gets older I will always have someone to go with me. 

One of her favorite things to play is Beauty Shop

We had to buy a book at the book store. I need to go back and get the one for grandpa.

SCHWARZWALD INN

IOn our way to Itasca State Park we stopped for a late breakfast in Park Rapids. We stumbled upon a restaurant called Schwarzwald Inn. It focus is German Cuisine which they do well.

They have a train which goes around the ceiling while you are eating.

The menu was interesting and a little like the Sound of Music feeling.

This is the best pancake I ever ate. The ham was real and delicious. Some places serve lunch meat or deli style meats not this place the food was real. 

MISS ELLIE

She loves to clean. When shopping with her parents of all the toys she could have chose she wanted a cleaning caddy. Great-Grandpa Burnson would have been proud to know the cleaning gene carries on.

MUNSINGER GARDENS

The garden and park are on the Mississippi River. The day was hot and humid so we left early. I love watching the kids get excited about flowers and water fountains.
